Infinite Continuum
November 26, 2019 - December 4, 2019

With the advent of Artificial Intelligence, the idea of what is finite has changed dramatically. The source that becomes the basis for an AI algorithm to work with can be so vast and ever expanding, that for all practical purposes it could be perceived as an endless and infinite dataset. The algorithm (intelligence) itself is programmed to perpetually improve and become smarter. And since this entire process is seamlessly continuous, it hardly leaves any scope for imagining the magnitude of the end result. Isn’t that infinite?

While this creates exciting opportunities for creative professionals, it is also natural to relate this with the endlessness of the very cosmos and our existence. Scientists have time and again proved that no matter (material) is destroyed. It only changes form. When wood is burnt, it gets converted to heat and light (from the fire) and carbon (in the form of smoke and ash).
In this context then, the way one could perceive of life, space, time, and so on, also undergo a change. Does something as intangible as a thought have a life? Does life itself has life? Can there be a true end?
The intent was to exhibit young and mid-career contemporary artists.
